Free ScanNCut Files For Flip It Cards

Hi All

I just wanted to share the cutting files for the Flip It cards I designed on ScanNCut Canvas. You can click on the images and download will begin automatically.

Please note that I have put a lot on 1 page so just delete the texts and move the shapes around so they are not overlapping before cutting.

Please share but do not sell the files. Enjoy and show us what you've created.

A6 Flip It Card Designed on ScanNCut Canvas Using Lavinia Stamps

Hi All

I wanted to share with you today the outcome of one of the rectangular landscape Flip It Card template I designed on ScanNCut Canvas. Here is the card I made using Lavinia stamps.

Once the card base was cut, I used distress inks to colour using a brayer then a sponge to make the edges more brighter. I stamped the vines and leaves using 2nd and 3rd generation stamping to add layers and depth.

For the front image, I stamped the 'Night Watch' fairy with versafine ink, more leaves around the border and made the hills with a torn piece of copy paper, dragging the distress ink down using a sponge. I used the seeds stamp to look like bubbles coming out of the horn then used a glue pen, dotted around the 'bubbles' and the wings and applied glitter dust.

I stamped the flock of birds and repeated the picture on the front. I used the brayer to stamp a mirror image of the 'Night Watch' fairy with distress ink which wasn't as intense as the versafine ink. I learnt this from Tracey Dutton's reflection technique on youtube. I haven't tried it before but you can probably use gelli plate to achieve the same effect and it might be easier to align the image where you want it to go.

I'm really pleased the template worked. I am also entering this card to the following challenges:

Preview of Flip It Card Template (Swing / Flip Flop)

Hi All

I wanted to share today my Flip It Card Template which I designed on ScanNCut Canvas. I already have a Bigz die that does the job but I wanted a template with an A6 dimensions and mats.

A6 Portrait Version

A6 Landscape Version

I haven't tried them yet so I'll let you know how it goes. Fingers cross as it will make it easier to find a matching envelope as well as the possibility of resizing the cards bigger.

If you would like more info of the dimensions let me know. I will try to upload the SVG file once I have tested the templates and figured out how.

Thanks for looking

Mini Distress Inks Colour Sheet and Storage

Hi All

We have the Mini Tim Holtz Distress Inks and found that keeping track of all the colours we have were always a difficult task. We wanted a Colour Sheet to help our storage arrangement to make locating particular colours much easier and Barry came up with the table below and stamped each colours.

Our tub of Distress Inks is now in order and locating colours much faster. It is a shame that the tub doesn't fit all of the pads but for £1, it does the job great.

Now, there are a few templates available on the net which you can download but we weren't aware of those until after Barry did his own version - search 'Distress Ink Colour Sheet'.

We also use a slightly taller tub with a lid to store our Cosmic Shimmer PVA, Liquid Pearls and Stickles which we just turn upside down to keep the tips from drying up and blocking. Who needs MDF storage which you have to make room for?

What do you think of our storage solutions and how do you store yours?

Thanks for looking

Peony Posey Card

Hi All

I wanted to share what I made with the Peony Posey Indigoblu stamp image I coloured on the train the other day and here it is...

I wanted a sentiment on the image but didn't want to cover too much of the image so I used parchment paper. I stamped the Indigoblu sentiment (free from a Simply Cards & Papercraft mag) with Versamark ink but then found the ink stayed wet even after using the heat craft tool. Thinking I had to throw the parchment away I decided to try the heat emboss technique. I used clear embossing powder on top and it came out ok :)

I applied small dots of glue on each corner and waited for a few minutes until they were tacky before sticking the parchment on, this way the glue wouldn't spread too much underneath. I matt and layered on kraft card before embellishing with the bow, natural grass and tiny butterflies (off cuts from Tonic Studios border punch).

Wee Folk Clarity Challenge

Hi all

Thank you for taking a moment to stop by our blog. Todays post is for the Clarity Stamp Challenge using The lovely Wee Folk stamps. These are so nice and really enjoyable to work with. They also stamp perfectly every time. I've also used the Letterbox stamp and mask set as well as the circles box stencil.

I've been wanting these for a while and was doing so well looking after the pennies. Thats was until Saturday when we decided to go to Ally Pally. Barbara worked her magic and somehow we are walking away with a bag full of goodies.

So the meaning behind this card is to say Thank You to Barbara and her team for an amazing day.

Please feel free to leave a comment

Until next time

Easter Card

Hope you are all well. Thank you all for your kind comments on the Canvas Board. I can't believe it's been a week since my last post! Minnie has been poorly and we went to the vets after work yesterday. The meds seems to be working, fingers cross she'll be better soon. It's also been quite a hectic week with work and crafting. I've done a couple of commissioned cards and I'm also doing my niece/goddaughter's Christening invites :)

Anyways, onto today's card. I've been wanting to do something with our Robert Addams' Straight Stretch Card Trellis die and Inkylicious' Wood stamp and here's the outcome.

I used the die on white card twice and cropped the edges after. I then used the stamp with brown dye ink, wait for it to dry then used the grass embossing folder at the bottom, free from Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine. I lightly went over the raised area with green ink pad and used darker green to create depth at the bottom.

I trimmed another white card to the same dimension as the trellis card and used the cloud embossing folder (another freebie), then coloured the sky with distress ink using Inkylicious' Ink Dusters. The sentiment was done on ScanNCut Canvas using the new Liverpool Font, cut on white paper and coloured using a brayer. I then used foam pads to add dimension before matting on kraft card.

The main flower is from Tim Holtz Tattered Flower Garland Sizzlit die, the leaves and rest of the fIowers were designed on ScanNCut Canvas. I used Spectrum Noir and Distress Inks to colour the flowers then added Liquid Pearls and Nail Caviar to the centre of two flowers. I stamped the 2 eggs which were free from Creative Stamping magazine, using yellow and orange dye ink pads on card, cut and stuck behind the flowers.

I am also entering the card to the following challenges:
Crafting From The Heart - 53 Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion Challenges - 255 Anything Goes
